Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge to be treated by Boston Red Sox staff

Liverpool have been without Sturridge since he suffered a different thigh injury during September's international break, and the England striker has already spent time recuperating in Los Angeles.

One planned comeback was shelved after he pulled a calf muscle, and the latest problem has aready ruled him out until the new year.
Now Liverpool hope the medical staff at the Boston Red Sox - the Major League Baseball team also owned by Fenway Sports - can speed up their £12m signing's recovery.
Sturridge will be accompanied by a member of the Anfield medical team, and no firm date has been set for his return.
