Chelsea striker Fernando Torres to make permanent move to AC Milan.

Fernando Torres is to join AC Milan on a permanent basis in January 5, Chelsea have announced.

But Torres looks set to be immediately moved on to his former club Atletico Madrid - where he began his career - in what is expected to be another loan deal.
Atletico have claimed in the Spanish media that his return to the capital is virtually a done-deal.
“It is on the verge of completion and we are waiting for things to firm up,” assistant manager German Burgos was quoted as saying in Spanish media.
“He will be a very important reinforcement for the second half of the season. We will get the best out of him, the same as everyone, and he knows where he is coming to.”
Torres joined Chelsea from Liverpool for £50m in January 2011, a fee which remains a record for a transfer involving two English clubs.
He moved to Italy in August on a two-year loan deal, but he has scored just one goal for the Milan giants.
A statement on the Chelsea's website read: "Chelsea Football Club thanks Fernando for his service during the past four seasons and wishes him the very best for the future."
