It was not a happy beginning for the blue when they were a goal down but it's smile at the end for the blue and chelsea new boys as cesc has two assit as costa prove his worth.
Conceding the first goal early on in Lancashire proved but a blip on the way to beating Burnley and beginning the season with a win, goals from debutant Diego Costa, World Cup-winner Andre Schurrle and long-serving Branislav Ivanovic quickly steadying the ship and putting the Blues 3-1 up by the interval.
The first was an opportunistic strike from our new centre-forward with the second goal from Schurrle one to truly catch the eye. Ivanovic converted a corner.
Burnley came back into the match in the second half and Thibuat Courtois was called on to make a good save, but Chelsea closed the game out confidently to see off the newly promoted side and claim our first three points.
