Chelsea maintained their position on the league table after a win over Leicester City.

Diego Costa's start to life in the Premier League continued with a vital goal for Chelsea in their 2-0 win over Leicester City.
The Spain international scored on his competitive debut in Chelsea's win at Burnley on Monday and he finally managed to beat Kasper Schmeichel on 63 minutes at Stamford Bridge.

The blues tried every thing they could at the first half to break the defence of Leicester city but they fought harder to prevent chelsea from hitting the back of the net.

A slightly tawdry first half gave way to a vibrant second as Chelsea stepped it up significantly and two good goals, the first after superb skill from Ivanovic teed up Costa,

The biggest single worry for the Foxes must be the ability to convert chances. Nugent fluffed two one-on-ones, and though he forced Courtois into good saves, he should have scored at least one.

Leicester showed the same resilience and occasional enterprise that saw them gain a draw last week, and the performances of Moore, Morgan, Hammond, and Schlupp must give Nigel Pearson significant hope for the season.

Eden Hazard made sure of the points with a goal 13 minutes from time as Jose Mourinho's men made it two wins from two to kick off the 2014-15 campaign.
Chelsea and Swansea City are the only teams to have won two games (five more opening weekend winners play on Sunday and Monday) with Garry Monk's side running out 1-0 winners at home to Burnley.

Nathan Dyer scored the only goal of the game at the Liberty Stadium in the 27th minute to leave Burnley bottom of the table, one of five teams yet to claim a point.
Alongside them are Crystal Palace, whose bad week got just a little bit worse when they slumped to a 3-1 defeat at home to West Ham.

Mauro Zarate scored his first Premier League goal to put West Ham in front on 34 minutes and Stewart Downing added to their lead with a rare goal three minutes later.
Marouane Chamakh gave caretaker boss Keith Millen brief hope just after half-time but Carlton Cole's 62nd minute strike sealed three points for Sam Allardyce's men.
Both of Saturday's other games ended goalless, with Aston Villa failing to beat 10-manNewcastle, who had Mike Williamson sent-off, in the lunchtime game.
And Southampton were held to a 0-0 draw by West Brom at St Mary's, the home side picking up their first point of the season and Alan Irvine's side drawing their second consecutive game.
