Real Madrid and Chelsea the European goal machine.
Real Madrid and Chelsea have the most lethal attacks in Europe, with both clubs averaging over three goals per game to occupy first and second spot in the Huawei Team Ranking.
The Santiago Bernabeu side have already found the net 20 times in six La Liga outings, averaging 3,33 goals per game, with the 8-2 win over Deportivo La Coruna their most eye-catching result so far. Cristiano Ronaldo has been Madrid’s main dangerman following his 10 goals in Spain’s top flight.
Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea average an equally impressive 3,17 goals per game, with striker Diego Costa responsible for eight of his side’s 19 strikes.
La Liga leaders Barcelona complete the podium with an average of 2,83 after their comfortable 6-0 home win over Granada at the weekend.
French giants Olympique de Marseille haven been a force to be reckoned with going forward as well so far this season with 21 goals in eight games (2,63 per match), while Valencia are also among Europe’s goalmachines with an average of 2,33.
Filippo Inzaghi’s AC Milan and city-rivals Inter are Serie A’s most productive teams, each averaging 2,20 goals per match after five encounters.
Manchester City, Everton, Juventus and Parma sit joint eighth in the ranking with an average of two goals per game.
Meanwhile, Hamburg, Levante and Burnley are the three teams that have been struggling the most to find the net in 2014-15.
All three have managed to score just once in six games so far and will have to find a way to get more goals if they are to hold on to their top-flight status this term.
